Trauma-informed psychotherapy

Welcome to a space dedicated to the transformative journey of healing through effective therapeutic modalities. I offer expertise in EMDR, Gestalt Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Somatic Psychology—powerful tools for addressing a spectrum of traumas.

Approach

Trauma, in its various forms, can leave lasting imprints on the mind and body. Whether you’ve experienced PTSD from a traumatic event, complex trauma involving multiple incidents (C-PTSD), transgenerational trauma, or struggles with issues of belonging and displacement, a trauma-informed therapeutic approach was designed to guide you through a healing process that is safe and effective. For example, grief and loss are seen from a trauma-informed lens, understanding how compounding stresses can affect one’s self-esteem and vitality. Furthermore, one can learn to shift one’s perception of panic and anxiety and see them as coping mechanisms developed in order to avoid body information; it is through a slow titration of curiosity and connection that we can reveal the untold story and learn to enjoy our bodies’ signals.

Types of Trauma

  • Childhood Trauma: Uncovering and healing wounds from early experiences.
  • Sexual Trauma: Providing a safe space for individuals dealing with the impact of sexual trauma.
  • Drug Use Trauma: Navigating the aftermath of drug-related experiences and supporting the recovery of loved ones.
  • Cultural and Systemic Trauma: Addressing the impact of societal and cultural influences on one’s well-being.
  • Traumatic Loss: Guiding individuals through the grieving process and supporting emotional recovery.
  • Attachment Trauma: Exploring patterns of attachment and fostering healthier connections.
  • Non-Verbal and Invisible Traumas: Acknowledging and addressing traumas that may not have clear verbal expressions.
  • War Traumas and Dissociation: Offering specialized support for those who have experienced the profound impact of war-related traumas.

Reclaiming Your Path to Wholeness

Experiencing a combination of traumas can leave a person feeling fragmented, disorganized, and isolated. Having overcome multiple traumas personally and professionally, it is a joy for me to guide others toward reclamation through a path that integrates the body, creativity, and dialogue.
